Brass Nut Introduction
As the name suggests, the definition of copper nut is the nut made of copper material (usually lead brass, such as H59,H62). The copper nuts we come into contact with everyday are mainly hexagon nuts or other copper nuts that match bolts.
So why are copper nuts used in daily production activities? Because copper nuts are not easy to rust, corrosion prevention, easy heat conduction and electrical conductivity advantages, generally used for rust prevention, high temperature, conductivity, heat conduction and other use environment, such as faucets, valves, electrical switches and so on.
Another main use of copper nut copper nut is injection molding, after heating embedded in plastic parts or direct injection molding, as mentioned before, brass has good thermal conductivity, such as the use of heating copper nut embedded, on the one hand, the copper nut can quickly become hot to speed up the work efficiency, on the other hand, the heated copper nut can quickly transfer heat to plastic parts, So that the plastic hole around the soft, conducive to pressure into the hole; So, if the injection mold effect will be what? As we all know, the melting point of PA/NYLOY/PET is above 200°C, and the temperature of copper nut becomes higher rapidly after hot melting into plastic parts. After injection molding, the plastic body cools and crystallifies rapidly. If the temperature of copper nut is still at high temperature, what will be the result? The result is loose or cracked copper nut in contact with plastic parts. Therefore, copper nuts are used in injection molding instead of steel nuts.
